CANCELED: Midas Gold Ski Week 2020

CANCELED: Midas Gold Ski Week 2020

Published on March 2, 2020

IMPORTANT UPDATE: In light of the evolving situation with the coronavirus, ski week has been canceled for 2020. Although this was a very difficult decision, we know it is the right thing to do to protect everyone’s health. Please stay well!

Midas Gold’s third annual ski week is right around the corner and we are so excited! We are proud to team up with Brundage Mountain and Tamarack Resort to give local kids FREE ski lessons during Spring Break.

Ski week is open for kids ages 7-14 from the Valley County, Adams County and Riggins School District. Each day during spring break, we will take up to 25 students up the mountain. Each student receives a 90-minute ski lesson, rental gear, lift ticket and a voucher for lunch. View our flyer for all of the details.

On Monday and Tuesday, March 23 and 24, we will be skiing at Tamarack Resort. If you would like to join us at Tamarack, call Midas Gold at 208.901.3060 and ask for the Midas Gold learn to ski program.

On Wednesday through Friday, March 25 through March 27, we will be skiing at Brundage Mountain. If you would like to join us at Brundage, please call the Brundage Mountain Ski and Ride School at 208.634.6631 and ask for the Midas learn to ski program.

Each child can reserve one full-day session in advance at EACH mountain. Those wishing to participate on more than one day at EACH mountain will be put on a waiting list and notified about multiple-day availability at the end of each day.

Donnelly and McCall Shuttle service will be available each day. We will pick up students from Donnelly Elementary School at 8 a.m. and pick up students from Payette Lakes Middle School at 8:30 a.m.

On Thursday, March 26, shuttle service will be available in Council and New Meadows. We will pick up students from Council High School at 7:30 a.m. and then stop at New Meadows School to pick up more students at 8:15 a.m.

The shuttles will leave the mountain between 3:30 and 3:45 p.m. each day.

If you plan to drive your student to the Tamarack Resort or Brundage Mountain, you will need to check in no later than 9 a.m. for first-timer and beginner lessons.
